For the 8th game of the championship UMBC was playing an away game against Chester, the only team that beat them so far (fror the cup).
The game didn’t start with the best way for Manchester as Chester had the lead in the first quarter. In the second quarter UMBC stepped up their game and outscored their opponents by 10 points while having 3/3 3 point shots. A close game was to follow in the 2nd half which didn’t separate the two teams in the score so the game went to overtime. In the overtime neither team was able to score easily, but Chester managed to score the winning basket in the last minute of the game which gave them the win with the final score being 62-60.
For Manchester Andreas Vasilatos with 16 points and 36 ranking lead the way while Hannad Ahmed and Freddie Stephenson scored 11 and 10 points respectively.
