Bangor, where amazing happens
The UMBC made a long journey to Wales to face the University of Bangor for the last game of the 2012. Due to university work only 8 players were able to go to Bangor and play for Manchester, so everyone knew that they should avoid fouls and step up their game to get the W.
The referees had a different opinion though and they called a record breaking 13 to 3 fouls against Manchester in the 1st quarter only! Despite the fact that Bangor was going to the foul line only 2 minutes after the beginning of the game because of the foul trouble, UMBC managed to maintain the lead. A blowout was to follow in the 2nd quarter with 2-25 for Manchester and from that point on it was only a matter of not fouling out more players and maintain 5 players on the court.
MVP with a record breaking double-double performance was Freddie Stephenson with 20 points and 20 rebounds. (He even had a double-double from the 1st half with 12p, 12 reb!)
