End of streak and elimination from the cup
For the quarter final of the cup the UMBC was facing Chester at home.
During the first half of the game the two teams were exchanging baskets and neither team was able to get a big lead. In the second half the game started to slip away from Manchester as a consequence of the missed free throws (14/28) and 3 point shots (3/20). On the other hand Chester took full advantage of this and managed to win the game with the final score being 59-69.
Carol Serban was the only one who kept Manchester ''alive'' in most of the second half by scoring 18 points.
From this point on Manchester will try to win and remain undefeated in the league by playing a very important away game against Chester.
